ACE'10
- 6th Workshop on Advanced Computational Electromagnetics
July
5-7, 2010
ETH Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland
Workshop description
The
6th Workshop on Advanced Computational Electromagnetics (ACE'10)
continues a series of workshops devoted to the mathematical and
conceptual foundations of computational electromagnetics.
Particular emphasis is on issues concerning the structure aware
modelling and discretization of electromagnetic fields and related
coupled problems and their impact on software design and efficient
implementation.
Some examples of subjects within the scope of the workshop (to give you an idea of its focus)
- Discrete exterior calculus and tensor calculus
- Mimetic and structure preserving schemes
- Computational co-homology
- Discontinuous Galerkin methods
- Boundary integral equation methods
- Spectral and iso-geometric discretizations
- Computation of fields and forces
- Coupling of discretized fields and circuits
- Discretizations in MHD
The workshop should be interdisciplinary
and hopes to
bring together
engineers, numerical analysts, software developers, and
mathematicians who, when viewed in the context of the workshop
topics, have made remarkable and lasting contributions in their
respective fields.
identify open problems in the discretization of
electromagnetic fields that can be seminal for exciting future
research.
Following the precendent of ealier ACE workshop the
following format will be adopted:
There will be no
parallel sessions
There will be no
more than 25 talks of a length between 25 and 30 minutes
There will be a
poster session
Talks should focus
on underlying ideas and principles rather than computational
results
There will be plenty
of time for discussions
The presentations will be collected and made
available to the participants electronically
