Historical overview The series of workshops was initiated by Prof. Lauri Kettunen of UT Tampere. The first two workshops (ACE'04 and ACE'05) were held at the Tampere University of Technology in Finland, the third was held at the Boston University in May 2006 and the fourth at the RWTH Aachen University in June 2007.
